René Jules Lalique (1860-1945)
He chose to use glass, semi-precious metals and stones as the media with which to communicate as an artist and designer.
His comprehensive range of works in jewellery, glass and glass sculpture (in the form of Cire Perdue vessels and figurines) are widely recognized and rightly praised for their highly innovative and groundbreaking qualities.
